The PS5 modding scene just had its gates thrown wide open

Tonight there's gonna be a jailbreak

Two years after its launch, the PS5 has been jailbroken, unlocking the possibility of installing unofficial content on Sony’s flagship console. Demonstrating the PS5 jailbreak in action, content creator Lance McDonald posted a clip on Twitter showing the jailbroken console grants access to features not typically accessible to console owners. These include an extensive debug menu, and the option to download games and apps that are no longer available on the PlayStation Store, such as Konami’s long-delisted P.T. The jailbreak appears to only work on PS5s running firmware version 4.03; meaning it will not work for consoles with newer versions of firmware installed

Two years after it was launched, Sony’s PS5 has been found to be vulnerable to hacks. Sony’s flagship console came preinstalled with a debug mode, which allowed users to access features that were not usually accessible to console owners. These includes the addition of an extensive debug menu and the ability to download games and apps that are no longer available on the PlayStation store, such as Konami’s long-delisted P.T. It is confirmed that the jailbreak only works for those who have upgraded their firmware version up to 4.03.

Recently the PS5 has been hacked and now we can install unofficial games and apps on the console. This includes an extensive debug menu and the ability to download old games that are no longer available on the PlayStation Store, such as P.T by Konami.

A group of hackers have created a PS5 Jailbreak for latest Sony console. The hack allows it to access to additional features not available on other consoles, such as debug menu and the option to download games and apps that are no longer available on PlayStation Store.
